With the preliminary numbers just in, Miss Aniston's film was the top grossing release of the day with $14.6 million in ticket sales, while her ex-hubby's fantasy flick came in second at $11.8 million.

And though they were competing for viewers, Jen previously wished Brad's work well, saying, "We all want our movie to do well...Can we have a tie?"

Meanwhile, other notable releases on Christmas Day were Adam Sandler's "Bedtime Stories," which came in third with $10.4 million in sales. "Bedtime Stories" was followed by Tom Cruise's Nazi film "Valkyrie," which made $8.5 million.
